Little Feat keyboardist Bill Payne and Umphrey’s McGee keyboardist Joel Cummins sat in with different acts yesterday at Strings and Sol in Puerto Morelos, Mexico.

Payne took the stage with Railroad Earth multi-instrumentalist Andy Goessling in the middle of Yonder Mountain String Band’s sunset set for a version or the instrumental tune “Midwest Gospel Radio” that segued into “Shake Me Up.” Payne and Goessling then stuck around for “Criminal” before making their exit. That set also featured an appearance by Railroad Earth violinist Tim Carbone, who sat in for a “Rag Doll” that was sandwiched between “Traffic Jam” to close out the set.

Cummins took the stage during Greensky Bluegrass’ night set for a take on “Lose My Way,” and Payne returned even later in the night to join Railroad Earth during their performance. Additionally, Payne, Jason Carter and Ronnie McCoury also sat in with Leftover Salmon during their late night set on Thursday.

Strings and Sol will wrap up tonight with sets from Leftover Salmon, Keller Williams with the Travelin’ McCourys and Yonder Mountain String Band.
