Big Gigantic saxophonist Dominic Lalli sat in with STS9 yesterday. The collaboration took place at Puerto Morelos, Mexico’s destination event, which STS9 co-headline every year with Umphrey’s McGee and the Disco Biscuits. Lalli emerged during STS9’s first set for a take on “Grow.” Big Gigantic are one of the festival’s support bands.

While Mayan Holidaze’s opening day was plagued by heavy rain, the weather improved and both STS9 and Umphrey’s McGee performed outside on the beach yesterday. Mayan Holidaze continues today with performances by STS9, the Disco Biscuits, Papadosio and DrFameus. Big Gigantic also announced a new album and headlining tour.
