Mistaken For Strangers, Tom Berninger’s comedic documentary about his brother Matt’s band The National, will make its way to theaters in 2014. The film opened the annual Tribeca Film Festival this spring and has been shown in select settings throughout the year (including Bonnaroo’s Cinema Tent).
The film’s official theatrical premiere will take place at Los Angeles’ Shrine Auditorium on March 25. The National will attend and perform at the event. Tickets are available to the general public.
As previously, members of The National performed with Gregg Allman on The Colbert Report earlier this week. A video of their performance—which features harmonies from the show’s host himself—can be found over at Relix.com.
