During a benefit concert at Nashville, TN’s The Ryman on Wednesday night, Brendan Benson invited his Raconteurs bandmate Jack White to share the stage for a few songs. White, who has been busy recording new material for the Dead Weather, walked on stage to uproarious applause before digging into Benson’s “Good to Me” and the Raconteurs tune “Hands” from their 2006 debut, Broken Boy Soldiers. The evening, which was dubbed “Brendan Benson and Friends,” was a concert to benefit the David Lynch Foundation.

After several numbers from Benson’s other “friends” – which included Jakob Dylan, Butch Walker, Ricky Skaggs and former Bob Dylan sideman Bucky Baxter, among others – White made his way back to the stage to close the show with an extended take on the Raconteur’s “Steady as She Goes” before Benson encored with a cover of Eric Burdon and the Animals’ “When I Was Young.”
