Dumpstaphunk’s Ivan Neville, saxophonist Joshua Redman and guitarist Jaden Carlson sat in with Umphrey’s McGee during their performance at The Fillmore Auditorium in Denver last night. Neville hopped in on keys for “Dump City” to end the first set, while Redman joined in for the entirety of the second set and the encore, including the band’s first ever cover of Weather Report’s “River People.” Umphrey’s and Redman also got some help from local guitarist Jaden Carlson, who replaced Brendan Bayliss during the second half of “Der Bluten Kat.”

Umphrey’s McGee will return to The Fillmore Auditorium tomorrow for the final show of their NYE run. They will be playing a special show at the 1 Up – Colfax in Denver tonight.
