STS9 rang in the New Year at The Tabernacle in Atlanta last night with a two set show that was heavy on older material. The first set got going with “MOD” and “Beyond Right Now,” which were followed by a cover of Dee-Lite’s “What Is Love?.” The band then continued with “Music,Us,” ““Grow,” Rent” and “Dance” before closing out the first half of the show with the rarely combo of “Luma Sunrise” > “Luma Daylight.”

The second set got going with a “Monkey Music,” and the band moved into “STS9” as the clock stuck midnight. “Kamuy” and “Aimlessly” were followed by an ABCees that features the new, reworked ending. (The song was technically the only repeat of the run, though the December 27 version included the old school ending). “March” and came next before the set wrapped up with a beautiful “Breathe In.” The band then returned to play the crowd out with “4 Year Puma” and the longtime encore staple “Circus.”
