Lotus were joined by Ras Arcane during their New Year’s Eve show at The Electric Factory in Philadelphia on Tuesday night. The local emcee joined the group for a rendition of “Cloud 9,” track that appears on their 2013 hip-hop release Monks (Ras Arcane also appears on the album version of the song).

Lotus celebrated the New Year with a two-night at the Electric Factory earlier this week. Their December 30 show featured takes on classics like “Suitcases,” “Spiritualize” and “Disappears in a Blood-Red Sky,” as well as a number of newer tunes and covers of The Beastie Boys’ “Sabrosa” and Breakbot’s “Baby I’m Yours.”

In addition to the Ras Arcane sit in, the December 31 show included a number of oldies and newer material, along with covers of the traditional “Auld Lang Syne,” Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky” and Europe’s “The Final Countdown.” The show also featured a recurring rendition of “Machine Gun” that made a few appearances during the second set
