The 10-year-old guitar prodigy Brandon Niederauer sat in with Gregg Allman and his solo band on two Allman Brothers classics at Daytona Beach, FL’s Peabody Auditorium on Friday. The emerging guitar wiz was originally slated to only sit in on “Hot ‘Lanta.” However, during his soundcheck with Allman, he was asked to rejoin the band for an a-minor version of “Whipping Post” at the end of the night (a song Niederauer famously played with The Revivalists in November as well as with Allman Brothers Band members Butch Trucks and Oteil Burbridge at the Roots Rock Revival Camp last summer).

In addition to his string of sit ins, Niederauer also recently appeared on Ellen. The young guitarist is currently aboard Jam Cruise.
