Over the weekend, MGMT closed out a tour of Australia and New Zealand. On Saturday, the psychedelic group performed at Busselton, Australia’s Southbound Festival and invited a number of guests onstage. Near the end of their set, the members of MGMT brought out Crowded House’s Neil Finn for a take on “Six Months in a Leaky Boat,” his classic New Zealand band Split Enz’s 1982 single. Finn’s son Liam, a noted recording artist in his own right, and the members of Tame Impala associates Pond also sat in on the cover. MGMT then closed their set with “Alien Days.” MGMT will perform in Osaka, Japan on January 8.
