Stirrers, Superhuman Happiness and Wolf! are confirmed to appear at Freaks Ball XIV. The annual concert thrown by the influential online community the NYC-Freaks, the event will return to New York’s Brooklyn Bowl on Saturday, February 1. Stirrers is a new project featuring Soulive/Lettuce’s Eric Krasno and Neal Evans as well as Furthur/Duo drummer Joe Russo. The three musicians have shared the stage in a variety of settings over the years and came together for a gig at the Bowl this past number. Superhuman Happiness is led by Antibalas/Iron & Wine member Stuart Bogie, who recently scored a touring post in Arcade Fire. Wolf! is the project led by Scott Metzer.

Other the years the Freaks Ball has helped elevate the careers of Robert Randolph, The Duo, RANA, Apollo Sunshine and New Mastersounds. Warren Haynes, Portugal. The Man, Dean Ween, Sam Champion, Anders Osborne, El Ten Eleven, Ollabelle and many other acts have also performed during the years. Both Russo and Metzger have been Freaks Ball mainstays since 2003.
In related news, both Metzger and Russo will perform at Brooklyn Bowl on February 6 and 7 as part of the Led Zeppelin tribute act Bustle in your Hedgerow.
