The String Cheese Incident has officially re-released their very first cassette tape from way back in 1995. The newly named Aged Cheese is now available on www.LiveCheese.com and iTunes for $8.99. The old school album features early recordings of 14 classic SCI songs like “Lester Had a Coconut,” “Jellyfish,” “Little Hands” and “How Mountain Girls Can Love,” among others. The recording features early String Cheese contributor Bruce Hayes, who also remixed “Johnny Cash” and “Lester Had a Coconut” for the Aged Cheese reissue. Bill Nershi created much of the self-titled recording’s early act work.

The band originally dusted off the recording as an incentive for fans who purchased tickets to their recent New Year’s Eve shows, which celebrated the band’s 20th anniversary. SCI fans who attended any of the band’s New Year’s Eve shows can download the “cassette” here for free using the barcode on their ticket stub.
