It looks like Bruce Springsteen might be taking a page out of the jamband playbook soon. Fans of The Boss—who is is famous for, among many other things, his exuberant and extensive live shows—may get the chance to download recordings of his concerts immediately following the performance. Rolling Stone reports that Springsteen’s manager Jon Landau leaked the news to Backstreets.com at SiriusXM headquarters while Springsteen appeared on E Street Radio.

While live E Street Band concerts are readily available as bootlegs to anyone with a computer or satellite radio, Springsteen has thus far been hesitant to release many official live recordings. However, if the Springsteen camp follows through on this idea, high quality audio downloads could be instantly available to fans as soon as the band resumes their broad tour later this month with a series of shows in South Africa, Australia and New Zealand.

Springsteen will release his latest album, High Hopes, this Tuesday, January 14.
