Music legends Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr will reunite to play together for the first time since 2009 at this year’s Grammy Awards on Sunday, January 26. The surviving members of The Beatles will already be on hand at the show to receive the 2014 Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award for their iconic work with the late George Harrison and John Lennon.

The following day, the duo will perform once more together to tape a TV special that will commemorate the 50th anniversary of The Beatles’ game-changing performance on the Ed Sullivan Show.

In addition to being honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award, McCartney has also been nominated for several awards of his own, including Best Rock Song for his collaboration with Nirvana’s Dave Grohl and Krist Noveselic, “Cut Me Some Slack.”

The Grammys have also announced performances by a number of other artists, including John Legend, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Kacey Musgraves, Taylor Swift, and Keith Urban. Additionally, Grammy nominee Sara Bareilles is slated to perform together with four-time Grammy winner and 2014 MusiCares Person of the Year Carole King
