Drivin’ N Cryin’s Kevn Kinney to Compose Music for Archer

Kevn Kinney, lead singer/songwriter of the southern alternative rock group Drivin’ N Cryin’, is composing original music for the FX cartoon series Archer.

Kinney explained the project, saying, “The first record I ever bought was an Archie’s record with “Bang Shang A Lang” on it and “Sugar Sugar” and my first crush was on a band called Josie and The Pussycats… So of course when Adam Reed and Matt Thompson of Floyd County Productions invited me to produce and write songs for Cherlene… coupled with the fact that Archer is not only what I consider the best animated series but also the smartest, I was one hundred percent in!!”

The full soundtrack with Kinney’s contributions will be released in mid-February.

Archer airs on FX at 10 PM EST on Mondays.

He just keeps on going. He is one of my top idols, and it is always a special treat when I get to see Kevn live. I’ve never watched Archer before, but I guess it’s time to start! TURN IT UP OR TURN IT OFF!
