The Strokes have been added the lineup for the fourth annual Governor’s Ball Music Festival. The band appear to be a last minute addition, seeing as they were not mentioned in the full page New York Times ad that announced the lineup earlier today. The group joins a bill that already includes OutKast, Jack White, Vampire Weekend, Phoenix, TV on the Radio, Damian Marley, Empire of the Sun, Spoon, Broken Bells, James Blake, Damon Albarn and and many more. Additionally, the fesival will also feature a previously announced performance by The Strokes frontman Julian Casablancas. The event will take place June 6-8 at Randall’s Island in New York City.

Pre-sale tickets for Governor’s Ball have already sold out, but regular tickets will be available in the near future.
