The Allman Brothers Band have added a 45th anniversary show to their upcoming run at The Beacon Theatre in New York City. The special gig will take place on March 25, exactly 45 years after the iconic rock band formed in Jacksonville, FL. The performance will be the last of the run, which is now set to consist of 11 shows. Presale tickets for concert will go on sale this coming Wednesday, January 22, while general public onsale will begin on January 31 at 10am ET.

In related news, Allman Brothers Band guitarists Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks have announced that they will be departing the band after 2014 to focus on their other projects. In addition, the group also recently confirmed an appearance at the second annual Lockn’ Festival in Arrington, VA this September.
