The Experience Hendrix Tour has added Rich Robinson, Brad Whitford, Robby Krieger, Taj Mahal and Quinn Sullivan to its lineup. The guitarists will join Buddy Guy, Zakk Wylde, Bootsy Collins, Jonny Lang, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Eric Johnson, Doyle Bramhall II,  Dweezil Zappa, Los Lobos’ Cesar Rosas and David Hidalgo, Eric Gales, Ana Popovic and Mato Nanji on the tour, which pays tribute to the music of the one-and-only Jimi Hendrix.

In addition to the new guitarists the tour has also expanded to a few more dates, including stops in Oklahoma, Texas, Indiana, Illinois and Minnesota. The outing will begin on March 8 at the Grand Event Center in Shawnee, OK before making its way across the Midwest and Northeast. Most—but not all—of the aforementioned musicians will be at each stop, and more information on date-specific lineups can be found here.

The Experience Hendric tour offers multiple opportunities for performers and audiences to witness unique collaborations among the participating artists. The various musicians will perform their favorite Hendrix songs including “Little Wing,” “Fire,” “Purple Haze,” “Voodoo Child (Slight Return)” and many more. As has been the case with previous Experience Hendrix outings, special guests are expected to sit in at many of the dates. Past special guests have included Paul Rodgers, Joe Satriani, Hubert Sumlin, Steve Vai, Susan Tedeschi, Robert Randolph, Carlos Santana and others.

Tickets for the Experience Hendrix tour are now on sale.
