Christine McVie Is Writing New Fleetwood Mac Songs, Band to Tour This Fall

Christine McVie will join Fleetwood Mac when they go on tour this fall. The keyboardist and singer has also been writing some songs for band’s new album, which they will begin recording in March.

Stereogum pointed out the news, which was revealed in by Lindsey Buckingham a few days ago during an interview with Hawaii’s Maui News. The new details come a few weeks after Buckingham’s bandmate Mick Fleetwood told a Maui crowd that McVie would be rejoining the band.

No official details about the reunion have been released, but rumors about McVie’s return have been circulating for some time. The keyboardist and singer even joined the band for a rendition of another Rumours cut—“Don’t Stop”—at London’s O2 Arena back in September.

No, It’s called this – They’re still professional musicians(great musicians) and they had a bunch of ENORMOUS hits. Let them continue to do what they get paid to do, and what they love to do – play music. Why must a band “hang it up” when they reach a certain age?

what should we call the various post-jerry cash ins? we can’t sing, and we lost our gunslinger, but come sell drugs in the parking lot and pretend like it’s all cool?

Never ceases to amaze me, the negativity here. On as website about jamb band music. Really? Look, if you don’t like it don’t go. some folks obviously like it cuz you can’t get tickets to half of them (although that is a ticketmaster rant for another day. BLUEDEVIL. Ever been to a Furthur show? I didn’t think so. I have been to plenty pre and post Jerry shows and they are very good. They are also 53 bucks, fair enough. I don’t care fi they need money as long as they play well and I have fun I’m going. What are you going to do? Daft Punk?
