Bob Weir joined My Morning Jacket once again during last night’s performance at the band’s One Big Holiday destination festival at the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya in Mexico. MMJ were also joined by the Preservation Hall Jazz Band (whose latest album was produced by Jim James) for a number of tunes as well.

The Preservation Hall Jazz Band made their appearance a few songs into the second set for “Black Metal.” Weir came out next for a take on The Beatles’ “Dear Prudence” before the Preservation Hall guys returned to help Weir and MMJ with Chuck Berry’s “You Never Can Tell” and Al Johnson’s New Orleans classic “Carnival Time.” Weir then exited as MMJ and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band put their spin on Curtis Mayfield’s “Move On Up.”

As previously reported, Weir sat in with My Morning Jacket for “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door,” “I Know You Rider” and “Brown-Eyed Women” on the first night of One Big Holiday. Weir appears to have stuck around the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya following Furthur’s recent Paradise Waits destination festival, which took place at the same location.
