The Trey Anastasio Band debuted a cover of Ana Tijoux’s “1977” during their tour-opening gig at the The Ogden Theatre in Denver last night. The song, which appears on Tijoux’s 2010 album of the same name, was also used in an episode of Breaking Bad. In addition, the band also played two new songs during the first set, though their names are currently unknown.

JamBase has uncovered an audience recording of the cover, which features some rapping from trombonist Natalie Cressman. Make sure to check it out below.

TAB will continue their tour tomorrow night with another show at The Ogden. The band will then make a number of stops in the Midwest and Southeast over the course of the next month.
