Joey Williams & Brandon Niederauer Join Robert Randolph in NYC, Leo Nocentelli to Sit In at Brooklyn Bowl

The Blind Boys of Alabama’s Joey Williams and 10-year-old guitar whiz Brandon Niederauer sat in with Robert Randolph during his show at the BB King Blues Club in New York City on Friday night. Williams joined the group early in the show to contribute his voice to “Walk, Don’t Walk” and “Amped Up,” while Niederauer showed off his skills during an extensive jam before helping close things out with a cover of Jimi Hendrix’s “Voodoo Child (Slight Return).”

In related news, Robert Randolph and the Family Band recently announced that The Meters guitarist Leo Nocentelli will join them at the Brooklyn Bowl on April 8, the final night of their residency at the venue.
