STS9 have issued another statement following the departure of founding bassist David Murphy. The group has continued work on their next studio album and has also launched a contest for an all-expenses paid trip for one fan to join them in Arizona next month for the McDowell Mountain Music Festival. This will be both STS9’s first performance of 2014 and first show without Murph.

A note from the band posted to Facebook reads:

What’s up everyone? It’s been a minute since we’ve checked in here. First and foremost, thank you so much for all the support as we look forward to the future of STS9. We couldn’t be more excited. Life in the studio has been non-stop as we prepare for our next show in Phoenix, AZ and it can’t come soon enough. But since we have some time, we thought it would be amazing to pick one lucky fan to join us, all expenses paid, in Arizona next month for our first show of 2014!

So “like” this post, or leave a comment of a tune you love, a poem, whatever works for you. Just let us know one way or another if you wanna hang with us at the McDowell Mountain Music Festival! GO!

P.S – More updates to come really soon we promise!

McDowell Mountain Music Festival will take place from March 28-30. STS9 cancelled their winter tour after announcing Murph’s departure from the band.
