Todd Snider will embark on his I Never Met A Story I Didn’t Like Tour, which will bring his multimedia show to a number of cities across the Southeast and Midwest.

The events will begin with a 30 minute preview of East Nashville Tonight, the Barnes Brothers’ film about Snider. Originally intended to be a documentary on the singer-songwriter, the movie eventually turned into something of a stoner musical. The Hard Working Americans frontman will then read from his forthcoming book, I Never Met A Story I Didn’t Like (Mostly True Tall Tales) before answering questions and taking song requests from the audience.

Snider describes the shows like this:

Ok Buckaroos, so here’s the plan: First we show 30 minutes of our 70 minute stoner digest movie, East Nashville Tonight with Elizabeth Cook. Then I’m gonna come out to some kick ass podium thing (that I haven’t made yet, but will) and read a chapter from the book I wrote without Peter Cooper’s help. We’ll put two microphones in the aisle, and I’ll either take a question or song request (not both). After that, I’ll read a poem I composed that day. Then we crank the Hard Working Americans album and have an after show dance party.

I Never Met A Story I Didn’t Like (Mostly True Tall Tales) will be released on April 29 via Da Capo Press. The book features Snider’s insightful and comedic storytelling, with chapter titles like “Talkin’ Margaritaville Blues,” “I’m Tight With Slash,” “Jerry Jeff’s Balls” and “Drugs.”
