Gov’t Mule paid tribute to the 50th anniversary of The Beatles’ appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show with a special encore in Montgomery, AL last night. The Warren Haynes-led outfit wrapped up their show with string of Fab Four covers—“Helter Skelter,” “Yer Blues,” “I’m So Tired” and “The End.”

In related news, Gov’t Mule were joined by their friends greg Martin and Richard Young during their Saturday night performance at the Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center in Bowling Green, KY. Both musicians sat in with the group for a take on “Stay With Me” that closed out their first set, while Martin returned to help them with a “32/20 Blues” encore.

Gov’t Mule will continue their tour tomorrow night with a show at Von Braun Hall in Hunstville, AL.
