Jeff Austin will head to the studio and hit the road with a new band. The group—Austin, Danny Barnes (banjo and vocals), Eric Thorin (bass and vocals) and Ross Martin (guitar and vocals)—will record an album with “countless friends, heroes, and mentors” this March before playing a few gigs in May.

Austin—who has been on a temporary hiatus from his main project, Yonder Mountain String Band—has also scheduled a few shows with his side project, Jeff Austin and The Here and Now featuring Barnes, Larry Keel and Jenny Keel. The group have also released a soundboard recording from their August 31, 2013 performance at the Elk’s Lodge in Troy, OH, which can be heard below.
