Charles Dutton (“Rudy”), Aldis Hodge (“Leverage”) and Kathy Baker (“Saving Mr. Banks”) will join the cast of the upcoming Gregg Allman biopic Midnight Rider. Dutton will assume the role of Chank Middleton, Allman’s best friend and assistant. Hodge, best known for his role on TV’s Leverage will play a younger version of Middleton. Banks will play Allman’s mother.

The trio join a cast of Tyson Ritter and William Hurt, who will both portray Allman young and old, respectively. Eliza Dushku, Bradley Whitford, Joel David Moore, Zoey Deutch and Chad Lindberg are also confirmed cast members. Wyatt Russell will also play brother Duane Allman.

Shooting for the film will begin February 24 in Savannah, GA.
