Billy Iuso got some help from 10-year-old guitar prodigy Brandon Niederauer and Sister Sparrow and The Dirty Birds harmonica player Jackson Kincheloe last night during his show at the Highline Ballroom in New York City. Iuso, who was playing an acoustic trio set with Nori Naraoka on upright bass and Gabriel Richards on alto sax, was joined by the two guests toward the end of his performance for “Impatient Ain’t Ya” and “Candle.” His set also featured a take on the Grateful Dead classic “Stella Blue.”

Iuso and his trio were opening for fellow New Orleanian Anders Osborne, whose band consisted of Marco Benevento, Scott Metzger, Tony Leone and Carl Dufrene. Iuso also joined the group for “Charlie Parker” during their set.
