Popular NYC jazz club Blue Note will play host to Music For Tomorrow: A Benefit For Japan tonight in memory of the three-year anniversary of The Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami of March 2011. The show will feature the likes of Bob James, Makoto Ozone, John Scofield, Chuck Loeb, Bill Evans, Will Lee, Bobby Caldwell, Ron Carter and many more coming together to raise money for a charity started to help the victims’ families.

Following the tragedy in Japan, many musicians (including pianist Bob James) flew to Japan to support the people of Tohoku, one of the most severely damaged areas in Northern Japan. James will serve as host of the show tonight.

Tickets are still available, with 100% of the proceeds going to charity. Each guest will receive a free commemorative pin for the event and NHK, Japan’s national public broadcasting organization, will be on hand to tape the show.
