LCD Soundsystem will release their MSG finale as a part of Record Store Day on April 19. Entitled The Long Goodbye, the James Murphy-produced 5-LP vinyl will include the near four-hour performance from April 2, 2011. Clips from the show were featured in the acclaimed film Shut Up and Play the Hits, a phrase coined by Arcade Fire’s Win Butler during the show.

LCD Soundsytem’s finale was the lengthiest, most career-spanning set the group would ever play and garnered mass praise. Featuring the LCD core band of Murphy, Pat Mahoney, Nancy Whang, Al Doyle, Gavin Russom, Tyler Pope and Matt Thornley, the show also included special guests such as Arcade Fire, Reggie Watts as well as choir, string and horn sections.
