Papadosio announced that they will be parting ways with EQEndeavors LLC in the production of the Rootwire Music and Arts Festival. The announcement comes as the band kicks off their 6-week tour with The Main Squeeze today in New Orleans.

Papadosio and EQEndeavors LLC released this joint statement about the departure of the band from the festival:

The Rootwire Festival was a joint venture between EQendeavors, LLC and Papadosio. While both parties wish each other the best of success, they have decided to part ways. Papadosio and EQendeavors were not able to agree on some key points regarding the Rootwire Festival, and Papadosio is pursuing other ventures. EQendeavors plans to move forward with the planning and production of Rootwire.

Papadosio also released a statement describing their reasons for breaking off from the festival, citing the need to focus on their music.

“Everything that goes into producing, promoting and practicing the art of festival production requires year round support and while we have such an amazing team, we feel it is time to step back a little bit in order to move forward and refocus on our primary project – Papadosio,” the statement said.

Rootwire has combined art, music and culture since its inception in 2010. The festival is scheduled to continue this year under EQEndeavors, and Papadosio will announce their final festival schedule in the near future. Currently the band is slated to play Hoopla in the Hills, Counterpoint, Blackstock, Wakarusa, Electric Forest, Peach Music Festival and Camp Barefoot 8.
