Mike Gordon took the stage at The Westcott Theatre in Syracuse, NY for the first full show of his solo tour. The Phish bassist was joined by his songwriting partner Scott Murawski and the rest of his touring band, Craig Myers, Tom Cleary and Todd Isler, for the show, which opened with the live debut of the Overstep track “Face.”

The show continued with Gordon’s first solo rendition of “Say Something,” an Overstep tune that Phish played a couple of times during their 2013 summer tour (7/27/13 & 8/30/13). The first set, which also included a take on the Gordon-penned Phish song “Sugar Shack,” wrapped up with Gordon and Murawski playing glowing, neon-lit instruments. Set two then featured the live debuts of “Paint” and “Ether,” as well as the first full band performance of “Peel.”

In related news, Gordon and his band will perform on an upcoming episode of CBS This Morning: Saturday, though few details on the appearance are available. The news was revealed today via the bassist’s Instagram.#

Gordon will continue his solo tour tonight with a show at Webster Hall in New York City. He is currently on the road in support his new album, Overstep.
