Julian Casablancas seems to have a new album in the works. Today, The Strokes frontman teased fans with a video entitled “Julian Casablancas + The Voidz” with the caption “new album coming soon.” The video shows the frontman in the studio with a variety of musicians, presumably recording the project.

Casablancas’ solo debut, 2009’s Phrazes for the Young, featured production from Jason Lader and Bright Eyes’ Mike Mogis. The new wave/electronica inspiration led Casablancas to utilize synthesizers for many of the tunes on the record.

Currently, Julian Casablancas will perform a series of shows in South America, including two festival slots at Lollapalooza Chile and Argentina before returning to the States in June for Governor’s Ball.
