Two people were killed and another 23 critically injured after a car drove through a crowd of people late Wednesday night at SXSW. The driver, who has recently been identified as 21-year-old Rashad Charjuan Owens, is facing two counts of capital murder and various aggravated assault charges.

Organizers of SXSW have established SXSW Cares, a fund to assist the victims. A full list of those injured can also be found here.

James Moody, the owner of Mohawk (the venue nearest the crime scene), said in a statement: “My staff and myself are broken hearted for not only the victims and families of this senseless tragedy but also for our beloved Red River and this entire community.”

The Mohawk, along with Cheer Up Charlie’s, reopened to the public last night and all shows will proceed as planned throughout the weekend.
