Bob Weir dedicated a cover of Bob Dylan’s “Queen Jane Approximately” to HeadCount’s Director of Artist Relations Jane Henderson during last night’s RatDog show at the Tennessee Theatre in Knoxville. Weir, who sits on HeadCount’s Board of Directors, prefaced the the tune with an announcement that “this one’s dedicated to a good friend that works at HeadCount.”

Henderson is currently in a hospital recovering from injuries she sustained when a suspected drunk driver crashed into a cab that she was riding in at SXSW in Austin, TX on Wednesday night. As previously reported, the incident also left two people dead, while 22 others were injured as well.

A post on HeadCount’s Facebook page from Thursday night reads:

Some news we must share… HeadCount’s Director of Artist Relations Jane Henderson was injured in the tragic events at SXSW last night. Her injuries are not life threatening, but serious, and she is recovering at an Austin hospital. Anyone who has ever met Jane knows she is a powerhouse young professional and an integral part of every aspect of HeadCount. Please join us in wishing her a speedy recovery.

A Fundly campaign has been created to help cover Henderson’s medical bills and other expenses related to her injuries, while SXSW has also established a fund to assist victims of the incident.
