Blondie continued their 40th anniversary celebration with a takeover of last week’s SXSW festival that included a series of performances, panels as well as a surprise sit-in from lead singer Debbie Harry with the Dum Dum Girls. The duo performed the Blondie hit “Dreaming” at the Spotify House.

Other Blondie highlights from SXSW included their involvement in the Lou Reed tribute show, where Clem Burke joined the house band. The band also announced the premiere of BLONDIE’S NEW YORK debuting on The Smithsonian Channel on March 21. The one-hour documentary narrated by Kim Cattrall chronicles the rise of Blondie.
