As the first leg of Arcade Fire’s Reflektor tour wrapped up in Bridgeport, CT, the band revealed that the oversized paper mache head resembling guitarist Richard Parry was stolen. The giant bobbleheads are used before the show and during the encore break when a fake-Arcade Fire takes the mini-stage in the back of the venue.

The other night in Bridgeport, the bobblehead band covered John Mayer’s “Your Body is a Wonderland” before the real Arcade Fire returned to play their new cut “Normal Person.” Win Butler remarked that he didn’t like Mayer’s hit, and that “the words are the worst part.”

Brooklyn Vegan shared this statement from the band:

Richy’s bobblehead mask was taken from our show in Bridgeport, CT. This mask is a one of a kind piece that is an essential component to our live show. We have photos of the theft but rather than press charges we would prefer if the person who took it would get in touch with us to return it. Perhaps this is all an innocent mistake and you meant to leave the venue with your own oversized paper mache rendition of Richard Parry’s head? Please contact: [email protected] with any information.
