Fleetwood Mac Announce Extensive Tour, Will Reunite with Christine McVie

Fleetwood Mac will reunite with Christine McVie for an extensive North American tour this fall. After a 16 year touring absence, the keyboardist will join them as they make 34 stops in 33 cities across the United States and Canada. The outing will kick off on September 30 in Minneapolis, and will wrap up in Tampa on December 20. Ticketing information for the shows have not yet been revealed.

Rumors had been circulating for some time that McVie would be joining the band for their next tour, and the information was more or less confirmed by members of the band a few months ago. The keyboardist, who left the Fleetwood Mac in 1998 after the group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, surprised fans last September when she performed “Don’t Stop” with them at London’s O2 Arena. It was her first appearance with the band in 15 years.

While this has the chance of being a decent show (if Stevie Nick’s vocals have improved over what I heard a few years ago), I predict they have cancelled the tour due to irreconcilable differences by Halloween…

I think it might be a fun show but I bet the tickets are spendy.

Bob Welch is deceased. He committed suicide last year. He was in a lot of pain after spinal surgery and doctors told him he would not get better. He was 66 years old.
