Medeski, Martin & Wood + Nels Cline have released a new track from their forthcoming album, Woodstock Sessions (Vol. 2). The tune—“Bonjour Beze”—premiered today via Esquire, and you can listen to it here.

Medeski, Martin and Wood + Nels Cline will release The Woodstock Sessions (Vol. 2) on April 22. The long-awaited album was recorded when the quartet gathered at Applehead Studios in Woodstock, NY on August 27, 2013 for a special recording session in front of 75 fans. The session was later edited and mixed into nine separate tracks by the Applehead production/engineering team of Michael Birnbaum, Chris Bittner and Kevin Salem.

MMW and Cline first collaborated earlier in 2013, when the Wilco guitarist joined MMW for two sold out shows at The Blue Note in New York City before teaming up once again at Wilco’s Solid Sound Festival that summer.

The quartet premiered another tune called “Jade,” which also appears on the upcoming release, over at The Wall Street Journal’s Speakeasy blog last week. You can check that track out here.
