Widespread Panic got some help from their old friend and collaborator Jerry Joseph during last night’s show at the Schnitzer Concert Hall in Portland, OR. The singer/gutiarist, who hails from Portland, joined the band at the end of set one for a rendition of his own “North,” a song that Panic often plays at the end of their first set. In an interesting twist, Joseph and the band sandwiched the tune around “Nicaragua,” another one of his originals.

As previously reported, Widespread Panic recently returned from their annual Panic en la Playa destination event, which took place at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. The band will continue their tour tomorrow night when they kick off a two-night stand at the Fox Theater in Oakland.
