Posthumous Michael Jackson Album XSCAPE to Be Released

A posthumous album from Michael Jackson will be released on May 13 via Epic Records. XSCAPE features eight previously unreleased recordings that have been re-structured by producers such as Timbaland, Rodney Jerkins, Stargate, John McClain and Jerome “Jroc” Harmon. The album will be available in multiple formats as well as a deluxe edition featuring the original MJ recordings.

Epic Records CEO L.A. Reid described the process, saying, “Michael left behind some musical performances that we take great pride in presenting through the vision of music producers that he either worked directly with or expressed strong desire to work with.” Reid also said the producers added a “fresh, contemporary sound that retains Jackson’s essence and integrity.”

I kind of had my fingers crossed that this was one of them April Fool’s articles Jambands is famous for. Alas, no. It’s official- Relix is over. Seriously, guys- I will spare the vitriol and just get down to begging. PLEASE stop with the bullshit, and get back to reporting on OUR scene (besides, you KNOW this is gonna suck, or MJ, cash-strapped psycho kiddie-diddler woulda put it out when he was, you know, alive FIVE years ago.).
