Earlier this week, The New Deal announced they would reform, joining such acts as Fat Mama and Aquarium Rescue Unit to make such recent announcements. The heat of the moment has spurred another former group to take the stage together for another stretch of dates. Boston’s Jazz Farmers will once again perform as a unit, as Jason Crosby, Scott Metzger and Alan have confirmed that they will reunite and hit the road. Upon hearing of this, keyboard Marco Benevento told the trio, “Hey, none of you guys were even in the Jazz Farmers.”

“Oh, well neither were you,” Metzger retorted.

“No, actually I was. I co-founded the group,” Benevento explained.

“Oh.”

“And we weren’t really very popular so I don’t know why you’re poaching our name.”

“Oh.”

“Yeah.”

“So wanna join?”

“Umm, okay.”

The quartet is looking to perform a series of dates and may take to the road, although since the name Jazz Farmers sounds like a cool subclass of folks on the popular iPhone app Hay Day, they may just create music for Hay Day if they can figure out how to shrink themselves really, really small and fit into phones.
