Lot of co-headlining tours for these older bands this summer. Good for them.

One of the best shows I have ever seen was the Jeff Beck and Stevie ray Vaughn tour at MSG. I wasn’t a Vaughn fan at all, but to see someone hold their own on stage after Beck, I had to give credit where credit was due. The last song had both 3 piece bands on stage for a smoking rendition of “I’m Going Down”.

i was at that MSG show, SRV blew the doors off Jeff Beck, not that Jeff was bad but even Jeff Beck got down on his knees in praise of SRV during Goin Down. Don’t know how someone who surfs Jambands doesn’t like SRV, you missed alot of great shows at the Pier in the 80’s. SRV 2nd best guitarist of all time

Be nice if Charlotte PNC got some love. I saw ZZ Top open up for Petty a few years back in Charlotte. First time I saw ZZ, was a great show.

SRV at the Pier was the sickest thing ever! 87 w Gregg Allman and 88 w Joe Satriani. A legend in his time that we lost way to soon.
