The ninth annual Backbeat Jazzfest Series will feature a variety of shows at various venues throughout the April 25-May 4 Jazzfest run. Performers of note include The Soul Rebels, Big Sam’s Funky Nation, Nigel Hall, Ivan Neville, Sister Sparrow & the Dirty Birds, Marco Benevento, Jon Batiste, Mike Dillon Band, Kung Fu and more.
Toubab Krewe will perform two shows, the first of which includes them performing a “Steal Your Covers” set where they will cover Grateful Dead covers. Royal Potato Family will also celebrate their fifth birthday on May 3 with a set from Marco Benevento and special guests along with Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey.
