Nirvana will take their place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on Thursday night. As the music world mourns the loss of Kurt Cobain and remembers his legacy, it appears as if his music and the music of Nirvana will be brought to life in Brooklyn on Wednesday night.

A post on Foo Fighters’ Instagram account (below) revealed Joan Jett’s Melody Maker between Pat Smear’s guitar and Krist Novoselic’s bass. While Jett doesn’t have a direct connection to Nirvana as much as the likes of Michael Stipe (who will induct the band), she has performed several times with Grohl and the Foo’s.

Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic will visit The Tonight Show tonight for an interview. Stevie Nicks will perform on the show show and will also perform at the Hall of Fame ceremony.
