^ You are right he is really good. I saw him on his last full tour years back (guessing 5ish yesrs?). It was with the Cardinals and I am sure people will laugh at this or just not believe it but, I never saw the Grateful Dead w/ Jerry, I saw The Dead, Phil & Friends, RatDog, and have seen every major and most minor jambands multiple times. Attending the Ryan Adams & The Cardinals show for me was the closest I have ever been to hearing the vibe & electricity of GD that I hear when I listen to Jerry era stuff, flat out. Obviously not the extended jams but the vibe & beauty that I get from GD was there at moments during the show more than I have ever heard it anywhere else. ——————— As for Ryan he is a great songwriter and some of his stuff gets me more than almost any other songwriter, he can be brutal in a lovely way.
