Gregg Allman Adds Summer Tour Dates

Photo: Dino Perrucci

Gregg Allman has announced another round of summer tour dates. The Allman Brothers Band leader will now be hitting a number of cities on the West Coast this June and July before making a few stops on the East Coast in August after returning from Notodden Blues Festival in Norway. Tickets for most of the shows are now available.

As previously reported, Allman recently told Radio.com that the Allman Brothers Band have no plans to call it quits, and that they would be replacing Derek Trucks when he leaves at the end of this year. The statement contradicted his previous assertion that the band would cease touring after 2014, though he never ruled out future one-off reunion shows.

Gregg is going to be a busy boy this summer… I hope he starts changing up his setlists and maybe some new songs (cross your fingers)

Gregg has his left hand in a cast from a golf cart accident at Wanee last week. Hope he’ll be able to make these solo dates and Mountain Jam with the ABB.

Gregg should do what he wants to do except when it comes to doing the same set night in and night out. I could never figure out why some musicians keep the same set list. With ABB there is never the same thing it is new each nite. I remember seeing E.C. about 20 years ago and after the show as we were going to the car it seemed like it would be smart to catch the show the following night since there was some heavy energy coming off the stage all nite long. So we go back and check out nite 2 and the setlist was identical as were his comments between the same songs. I have not seen E.C. since . You would figure that with the limitless talent he had he would mix it up. WRONG. Sorry Eric way lame, way lame.
