Bruce Springsteen continued his run of debuts as the rock titan rolled through Tampa, FL last night. The Boss kicked the show off with the live premiere of Earl Robinson’s famous “Joe Hill” before launching into The Clash’s “Clampdown,” a popular opener choice for The E Street Band over the last week of shows.

Springsteen dug into material from his We Shall Overcome: The Seeger Sessions album, released in 2006, with the live debut of “Jesse James,” written by Bill Gashade for the record. Following “Darkness on the Edge of Town,” The E Street Band played their first “Brothers Under the Bridge” since 1999 from the outtakes-based compilation Tracks.

Covers have reigned supreme on the High Hopes tour thus far, as the band broke out another new cover of Them’s “Gloria,” a tour debut for this year. Throughout the rest of the show, Bruce would stray from the usual setlist, digging up “Bobby Jean” and “Pay Me My Money Down” as well as opting to close with “Light of Day” instead of “Land of Hopes and Dreams.”

Following the encore opener “We Are Alive,” the band premiered “Mary Don’t You Weep” by the Fisk Jubilee Singers, yet another tour debut on this night. Much to the fans’ delight, they would deliver the hits after that, ripping into “Born to Run,” “Dancing in the Dark,” “Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out” and The Isley Brothers’ “Shout” to close the encore. Bruce returned solo for a rendition of “Thunder Road” before departing for good.

Next up for Bruce and The E Street Band is a headlining slot at Jazz Fest in New Orleans on May 3.
