John Paul Jones Will Join Seasick Steve at Bonnaroo

Led Zeppelin’s John Paul Jones will once again appear at Bonnaroo— this time as a guest with Seasick Steve. The two have a long history together as Jones played on Seasick Steve’s 2011 album You Can’t Teach an Old Dog New Tricks and also joined him on stage at the Isle of Wight and Rock Werchter Festivals that year.

Most recently, Jones appeared on Seasick Steve’s Hubcap Music along with Jack White and Luther Dickinson, among others. The two have shared the stage several times since the release of that album in 2013.

Jones last played Bonnaroo in 2007, participating in the Superjam alongside Questlove. The legendary multi-instrumentalist also sat in with a variety of acts that year including Gilian Welch and Uncle Earle.

In addition to the Jones announcement, Bonnaroo also confirmed artist additions of Arc Iris, Black Pistol Fire, Bully, Jennifer Sullivan and Royal Teeth.
