The event formerly known as Mayan Holidaze will return in a new location as Dominican Holidaze later this year. The eighth edition of the destination festival will take place December 3-7 at the Breathless Resort & Spa in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Dominican Holidaze will feature longtime host bands The Disco Biscuits, Umphrey’s McGee and STS9, as well as supporting acts Lotus, the New Deal and Thievery Corporation’s Rob Garza (DJ Set).

Each of the host bands will play a pair of full two-set shows, along with a third show on the beach at sunset. The event will also feature post-show pool parties, off-site excursions, opportunity to interact with artists and plenty of other activties, in addition to all the amenities of an all-inclusive resort.

Packages for Dominican Holidaze will go on sale to the general public at 12pm ET on Wednesday, May 20, though a pre-sale for returning guests will begin on Tuesday, May 20.

This year will be not the first time that the Holidaze event has undergone a location-change and rebranding. The festival originally made its debut as Carrbiean Holidaze in Jamaica with Umphrey’s McGee and the Disco Biscuits in 2007 before adding STS9 and moving to Riviera Maya in 2010. The new resort is situated on the northeast coast of the Dominican Republic, in the Uvera Alto region of Punta Cana.
