The Flaming Lips will release With A Little Help From My Fwends, a reimagining of The Beatles’ classic 1967 album Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. The tribute will be available on October 28 and will feature several special guests, including pop star Miley Cyrus. A portion of the proceeds from the album’s sales will go to Oklahoma City non-profit the Bella Foundation.

In 2009, The Flaming Lips teamed up with some of their friends to release another reworking of an iconic album, ‪The Flaming Lips and Stardeath and White Dwarfs with Henry Rollins and Peaches Doing The Dark Side of the Moon‬. The band went on to perform Pink Floyd’s seminal 1973 release in its entirety at a number of shows. Earlier this year, the group also put out a Dark Side of the Moon“companion” album as part of an elaborate Funny or Die April Fools joke.

Fans that preorder With A Little Help From My Fwends will immediately receive a download of the band’s take on “Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds,” which features Cyrus and Moby.
